About
Named after a cartoon dog with a notoriously unlucky life, bob hund have been one of Sweden's most distinctive rock acts since the early 1990s. Their sound has been likened to Pere Ubu and Pixies blended with a touch of Kraftwerk, and despite singing exclusively in Swedish with a pronounced Skånish accent, they've pulled in fans well beyond Scandinavia. Graham Coxon reportedly asked to play with them, and the band allegedly turned him down. Over a career spanning more than a dozen studio albums, bob hund have hit number one in Sweden, picked up Swedish Grammis awards for Rock Band of the Year and Best Lyrics, and been named Live Band of the Year by Aftonbladet. Their twelfth studio album Dödliga Klassiker came out in 2016, and along the way they've also scored a live soundtrack for Dziga Vertov's silent film Man With a Movie Camera and auctioned off their old rehearsal gear at a festival they DJ'd rather than played.
