About
BRITPOP A Flashback To The Nineties is a six piece live band built around a single shared obsession: the music that poured out of the UK in the 1990s. The project was put together by Phil Tilli, a manager with a background in British sounding acts and a former guitarist in MOKE, widely regarded as one of the biggest Dutch Britpop bands. The six musicians, Stefan, Niels, Martin, Floortje, Joep and Jazz, come from different parts of the Netherlands and different generations, but they converged on the same goal. This is not a tribute band dedicated to one act. The set pulls from the full breadth of the era, with songs by Oasis, Blur, Pulp, The Verve, Suede, Supergrass, Kula Shaker, The Stone Roses, The La's and more. Expect classics like Bitter Sweet Symphony, Wonderwall, Common People, Song 2 and Fool's Gold, delivered as a theatrical concert that pairs live music with visuals.
