Brooks, the stage name of Dutch producer and DJ Thijs Westbroek, first got on the radar in a genuinely unlikely way: he blasted his music to twenty random email addresses that might plausibly reach Martin Garrix, and it worked. Garrix played the track at a show, got in touch, and eventually invited Brooks over to collaborate on "Byte", the record that kicked things off properly. From there Brooks built a reputation as a go to name in the electronic scene, racking up high profile collaborations with both Garrix and David Guetta, including the tracks "Like I Do" and "Better When You're Gone". His output also spans a string of remixes that have kept his name circulating well beyond his original releases.
