BROUA is an international ensemble led by Tunisian composer and singer Wissem Ziadi, bringing together musicians from Tunisia, France and the Netherlands. Their music draws on a range of cultural traditions, weaving them into something that feels genuinely cross border rather than neatly categorised. The name BROUA comes from Tunisian fishermen's slang, where it means something like "straight ahead", a fitting label for a group whose work centres on movement, connection and ongoing artistic reinvention. Expect an experience where sound, story and culture collide in ways that are hard to predict and easy to get lost in.
