About
Also known as: BSS, BooSeokSoon
BSS is the Seventeen sub unit that began as a one off fan meeting skit and ended up breaking sales records. DK, Hoshi and Seungkwan performed an unreleased song, "Just Do It", in front of fans in 2018, the crowd went wild, and the trio became Seventeen's first official sub unit. The name BooSeokSoon was coined by fans, stitched together from a syllable of each member's name. The big moment came almost five years after debut with the single album Second Wind. Its lead track "Fighting", featuring Lee Young ji, helped it sell over 610,000 copies in the first week, a record for a K pop sub unit. It swept the music show wins and earned them the Best Performance of the Year at the 2023 Asia Artist Awards, their first daesang. "Fighting" later became the official cheer song for the South Korean team at the Paris Olympics. They also contributed "The Reasons of My Smiles" to the Queen of Tears soundtrack and followed up with the single album Teleparty.
