Few British bands cracked America as fast as Bush did. Their 1994 debut Sixteen Stone went six times platinum in the US, turning singles like 'Glycerine' and 'Comedown' into alternative rock staples almost overnight. Gavin Rossdale fronts the London outfit with a sound that pulls from grunge, hard rock and noise rock, and the band has proven remarkably durable across three decades. Their second album Razorblade Suitcase hit number one in America, and The Science of Things pushed further into electronic textures without losing the guitar crunch they built their name on. After splitting in 2002 they came back together in 2010 and have kept releasing records at a steady pace, with The Kingdom arriving in 2020 and The Art of Survival following in 2022. Their most recent album I Beat Loneliness came out in 2025. The current lineup features Rossdale alongside guitarist Chris Traynor, bassist Corey Britz and drummer Nik Hughes, a solid unit that keeps the band's heavier, post grunge identity very much intact.
