Camille is a French singer, composer and performer who has spent over two decades pushing at the edges of chanson, folk, jazz and experimental pop. Her voice is the constant centre of gravity, functioning simultaneously as melody, rhythm and raw sound material. Albums like 'Le Fil', 'Music Hole', 'Ilo Veyou' and 'OUÏ' trace a musical language that is entirely her own, built around layered vocal harmonies, body percussion and textures drawn from the natural world. On 'La Terre', one of her tracks, she explores the bond between people and the earth, which gives a sense of just how wide her lyrical and sonic territory can stretch.
