Candlebox pretty much defined the Seattle post grunge sound of the early nineties, and their self titled debut from 1993 remains the proof. That record sold over four million copies, peaked at number 7 on the Billboard album charts, and went quadruple platinum, driven by singles like "Far Behind", "Change", "You", and "Cover Me". The band's success landed them opening slots for Rush and Metallica, a main stage spot at Woodstock '94, and a reputation as one of the so called Big Four of post grunge. After a breakup in 2000 that was partly a deliberate escape from a frustrating record deal, Candlebox reunited in 2006 and got back to work. Since then they've put out five more studio albums, including Love Stories and Other Musings in 2012 and Wolves in 2021, wrapping up with The Long Goodbye in 2023. The comeback single "Stand" even cracked the top 15 on the US Mainstream Rock chart, showing the band still had plenty of pull.
