Cavetown, the project of Oxford born Robin Skinner, sits somewhere between bedroom pop and indie folk, built around soft guitar and ukulele arrangements that feel quietly intimate rather than small. He started uploading originals to YouTube back in 2012 as a teenager, and what began as DIY Bandcamp releases grew into a proper major label career when he signed to Sire Records in 2019. His album Worm Food drew some of his strongest critical notices, with NME calling it his most fully realised work yet, and it featured collaborations with Pierce the Veil and Beabadoobee alongside frequent collaborator Chloe Moriondo. He has kept up a steady creative pace since, releasing covers, lo fi reworks, and collaborative singles, and in January 2026 he dropped his sixth studio album, Running with Scissors, his first with Futures Music Group.
