About

Charity Gayle is a worship leader and singer songwriter from Buffalo, New York whose song "Thank You Jesus for the Blood" became a viral phenomenon in Christian music circles, racking up millions of streams alongside her widely covered track "I Speak Jesus". She works closely with her husband, fellow worship leader Ryan Kennedy, and the two are part of GatherHouse, a ministry built around prayer and worship. Her recordings have been tied to the People & Songs collective and its Emerging Sound project, placing her at the center of a grassroots worship movement. Her discography has grown steadily since her debut full length Lord You Are My Song arrived in 2018. The live album Endless Praise followed in 2021, and her third album Rejoice, a 14 track live worship record produced by Kyle Lee and co produced by Dwan Hill, came out in 2024. Live performance is clearly her natural habitat, and most of her best known recordings capture that energy straight from the room.
