About
Also known as: Charlotte Ambre Adigéry
Charlotte Adigéry sings in English, French and Créole over a mix of electronic music, experimental pop and funk, and she's not shy about putting sharp, socially aware lyrics on top of a dancefloor groove. Her long running partnership with producer Bolis Pupul, with mixing help from Soulwax's Dewaele brothers on the Deewee label, has defined most of her output, from her 2017 self titled EP to Zandoli in 2019 and the 2022 record Topical Dancer. One track from Zandoli, the Creole sung "Paténipat", ended up in the trailer for the HBO series The New Pope. She also released a cassette single limited to 300 copies, Yin Yang Self Meditation, a stream of consciousness piece about racism and what it means to be an artist. When she wants something rawer and more punk, she switches to her WWWater project. She's toured with Neneh Cherry and picked up a string of nominations and Music Industry Awards along the way.
