About
Charlotte Plank is the Australian British singer whose self released debut "Hate Me" caught the ear of Black Butter Records and landed her a deal, with the label reissuing it alongside a camcorder style video shot at a women only London rave. From there she rode straight into the UK top five, featuring on Rudimental and Vibe Chemistry's "Dancing Is Healing", a track literally about the restorative power of a dancefloor. Both that track and the Turno and Skepsis collab "Rave Out" ended up on her mixtape InHer World. Her sound sits somewhere between drum and bass energy and pop songwriting, and her lyrics tend to go to real places: toxic relationships, men's mental health, self doubt. She draws inspiration from acts as far apart as Fleetwood Mac and Keith Flint, and is part of Loud LDN, a London based collective of female and non binary artists. More recently she has put out "Rage" and "Nightshift", keeping up a steady run of releases that feel personal without being precious.
