About
Chevelle built their reputation on a sound that sits somewhere between alternative metal's heaviness and the melodic pull of alternative rock, and they've been doing it with remarkable consistency since forming in Grayslake, Illinois, in 1995. The band broke wide open with Wonder What's Next in 2002, a double platinum record that sent 'Send the Pain Below' to number one on both the mainstream and modern rock charts and 'The Red' to number three. They've since put out nine more studio albums, selling over six million records in total. Their 2025 release, Bright as Blasphemy, is the latest chapter, and recent uploads like 'Rabbit Hole (Cowards, Pt. 1)' and 'Jim Jones (Cowards, Pt. 2)' suggest the band is deep into a creative run, with 'Hallucinations' and 'Pale Horse' arriving in mid 2025 as well. The core of the band has always been brothers Pete Loeffler on vocals and guitar and Sam Loeffler on drums.
