About
Also known as: Chis Lake, Christopher Daniel Lake, Christopher Lake
Chris Lake has been a fixture in electronic dance music since his early bootleg remixes put him on the radar, but it was the 2006 single 'Changes' featuring Laura V that really launched him, cracking both the UK Singles Chart and the Billboard Hot Dance Airplay top ten. His follow up 'Carry Me Away' with Emma Hewitt went one better, topping that same Billboard chart. A Grammy nomination came in 2012 for his work with Deadmau5 on 4x4=12, and he kept racking up consecutive top ten US dance chart hits through tracks like 'Only One' and 'If You Knew'. In 2017 he launched his own label Black Book Records and co curated the Owsla Howsla compilation with Skrillex, which hit number one on the iTunes electronic chart. He is also one half of Anti Up alongside Chris Lorenzo, a pairing Mixmag called a 'seemingly perfect match'. His debut studio album Chemistry arrived in 2025, adding a new chapter to a career built on relentless output across house, tech house and bass house.
