About
Most people know Chrissy Costanza as the voice of Against the Current, the New Jersey rock band she has fronted since 2011, writing most of the lyrics along the way. The band built a loyal following through YouTube covers before signing with Fueled by Ramen in 2015, releasing albums like In Our Bones and Past Lives, and playing stages at Download, Reading, and Lollapalooza. She also lent her voice to some massive gaming moments, including "Legends Never Die" for the 2017 League of Legends World Championship and "Phoenix" for the 2019 edition, which she performed live at the finals in Paris. In 2024 she stepped out on her own, releasing her debut solo EP VII, which included the single "7 Minutes in Hell" featuring Voilà, and collaborating with composer Masayoshi Soken on "Give It All" for Final Fantasy XIV: Dawntrail. She also teamed up with Yellowcard on a pop punk cover of "A Whole New World" for a Walt Disney Records compilation, and closed the year as lead vocalist on the official Genshin Impact track "Mavuika: The Vow of Blazing Blood".
