Christina Perri

About

Christina Perri went from waitressing in Los Angeles to signing with Atlantic Records almost overnight, after her song 'Jar of Hearts' got picked up by the TV show So You Think You Can Dance in 2010 without her even being on a label yet. The debut album Lovestrong landed at number 4 on the Billboard 200, and things snowballed from there. Her biggest track, 'A Thousand Years', written as the love theme for The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn, has sold over 10 million copies in the US alone, earned a Diamond certification, and clocked two billion YouTube views by late 2021. She followed her pop releases with lullaby albums Songs for Carmella and Songs for Rosie, before returning to full pop mode with A Lighter Shade of Blue in 2022. Her songwriting tends to sit in intimate, emotionally direct territory, a confessional singer songwriter style with soft pop production behind it.
