Claudia de Breij is a Dutch comedian, singer and radio DJ who has built one of the most varied careers in Dutch entertainment. Her song 'Mag Ik Dan Bij Jou', from her theatre show Hete Vrede, became a genuine phenomenon, earning a platinum disc for 50,000 downloads and landing at number 19 in the Top 2000. It stayed in the iTunes Top 30 for three consecutive years, and later got covered by multiple other artists. She has also scored with tracks like 'Mis je zo graag' alongside Waylon and 'Ik Onthou Zoveel Van Jou' with Paskal Jakobsen of BLØF. Her theatre work spans a long run of solo shows, and she won the prestigious Poelifinario award for the best cabaret programme of the year with Hete Vrede in 2010. In 2015 she received the Louis Davidsring, one of the highest honours in Dutch cabaret, presented to her by previous recipient Herman van Veen. She is also well known as a television presenter and was the first female comedian to deliver the Dutch New Year's Eve conference live on national television, drawing 2.5 million viewers.
