Eight number one singles is a serious track record, and Cole Swindell has built his reputation on exactly that kind of consistency in country music. The Georgia native started out selling merchandise for Luke Bryan and writing songs on the road, which led to a publishing deal and credits on tracks for Bryan, Florida Georgia Line, Thomas Rhett, and Scotty McCreery before his own career took off. His debut single "Chillin' It" went top five on Country Airplay after heavy rotation on SiriusXM's The Highway, and he won the ACM New Artist of the Year Award in 2015. Swindell leans into bro country and country pop with a knack for big emotional hooks. "You Should Be Here", a tribute to his late father, showed a more vulnerable side that resonated well beyond his party anthem fanbase. His biggest hit so far is "She Had Me At Heads Carolina", a remake of Jo Dee Messina's 1996 classic that spent four weeks at number one on Country Airplay and cracked the Billboard Hot 100 Top 20, earning a three times Platinum certification.
