Condemned 84 have been flying the flag for Oi! since the early 1980s, when they started out in Ipswich under the name Criminal Tendencies before settling on their final name in 1984. Their career spans over four decades of raw punk and Oi!, with a discography that stretches from their debut album Battle Scarred in 1986 all the way to The Crusade Continues in 2023, proving they are far from done. They share some DNA with the wider Oi! scene and were often mixed up with Combat 84, partly because both bands put out records on the Rock O Rama label. Their 1986 concert became notorious when it turned into a riot after the show, though the band themselves had no hand in organizing the event. Despite that kind of baggage, Condemned 84 kept going, racking up nine studio albums and a string of EPs across labels like Grade 1, Haunted Town and others. They remain a fixture in the Oi! and street punk world.
