About
Çağdaş Terzi, who raps under the name Contra, is one of the more prolific voices in Turkish hip hop, with a discography stretching back to 2006 and well over a dozen studio albums to his name. His 2012 record İnanılmaz put him on the map in a big way, driven by the track Ölü, and he has kept a steady output ever since. He is not shy about using his platform either: his 2019 single Zebani was a direct shot at journalist Yılmaz Özdil, showing he is as comfortable with sharp social commentary as he is with straight rap. His collaborative work is extensive too, with frequent features from artists like Anıl Piyancı and others woven throughout his singles and albums across the years.
