About
Cordenier & Casteleyn is a duo built around Dutch language songs of the kleinkunst and chanson kind. Tomas and Noël met more or less by chance in France, and in 2021 they first teamed up on a short programme of Dutch chansons. That grew into a proper partnership and a music theatre show called Onderweg. Onderweg mixes songs by Willem Vermandere, Frans Halsema, Stef Bos, Theo Nijland and Jules de Corte with material from Bløf and De Dijk. A story runs through the music, about how strange a life path can be, how we make choices out of conviction or necessity without seeing where they lead, and how love carries us through doubt. Besides theatre stages, the duo will also play house concerts at home or at another location, if you invite them.
