About
Craig Richards is a British tech house DJ who has been a fixture at London's Fabric club for decades, most visibly through his Fabric 01 mix in 2001 and the long running Tyrant project alongside Lee Burridge and, at one point, Sasha. His 2011 Fabric 58 release, subtitled The Nothing Special, showed off his unhurried, atmospheric approach to the dancefloor. Outside the booth, Richards is a genuinely multi disciplinary figure: he studied illustration at Saint Martins School of Art, works as a photographer and painter, and teamed up with producer Howie B on A Short Run, a project weaving together music, poetry and visual art. It is a rare combination that makes him stand out well beyond his DJ sets.
