About

Cravity came out of Starship Entertainment as a nine member boy band, and they were being called the "Monster Rookies" almost from day one. Their 2020 debut EP, Season 1. Hideout: Remember Who We Are, went straight to the top of Gaon's album chart, and the video for "Break All the Rules" passed 10 million YouTube views within six days. They were also the first rookie act to land on the Billboard K pop Hot 100 that year, then swept up rookie awards at the Melon Music Awards, the Mnet Asian Music Awards and the Soribada Awards. The name blends "Creativity" and "Gravity", and it also nods to a "Center of Gravity" idea about the nine finding perfect balance on stage. Members Serim, Allen and Wonjin write some of the group's lyrics, and their early releases form a connected Hideout series. In late 2024 they took first place on Mnet's survival show Road to Kingdom: Ace of Ace, and they were still putting out music that autumn with "This Is My Asteroid".
