About

Also known as: C-Kay, Crystal Kay Williams, Crystal Kaye, Kurisutaru Kei Wiriamuzu, クリスタル・ケイ, クリスタル・ケイ・ウィリアムズ, 克莉絲朵·凱兒

With over 5 million records sold in Japan, Crystal Kay has built one of the more distinctive careers in J pop by blending R&B and pop in a way that set her apart from the start. Her third album, Almost Seventeen, was the real turning point, debuting at number 2 on the Oricon charts in 2002 and eventually going platinum with over 400,000 copies sold. Her seventh album, All Yours, went one better and hit number one in 2007, the only chart topper of her career so far. Over thirteen albums she has worked with M Flo, BoA, and Chemistry, and spent twelve years on Epic Records Japan before switching to Delicious Deli Records under Universal Music Japan in 2011. Fluent in both English and Japanese, she weaves both languages into her music naturally, and cites Janet Jackson, Brandy, Aaliyah, and Michael Jackson as her biggest influences. She has also worked as an actress and radio host alongside her recording career.
