Dan Patlansky is a South African blues guitarist and songwriter who has built a serious catalogue over the past two decades, releasing albums like Dear Silence Thieves, Introvertigo, and the more recent Shelter of Bones. His guitar work sits firmly in the blues tradition but carries enough grit and personality to keep things well away from pastiche. He opened for Bruce Springsteen in 2014, which says something about the level he operates at, and he has made multiple tours of the United Kingdom, picking up a solid following there. His 2024 release Movin' On shows he is still pushing forward, adding to a discography that now stretches across eleven albums and spans everything from raw, stripped back blues to fuller, rockier territory.
