About
Dark Thoughts keep it simple on purpose. Power chords, very fast drums and a nasal baritone voice are all they need, with no interest in making things harder than they have to be. The result is straight ahead punk rock that owes a huge debt to the Ramones, the kind of sound often labelled Ramonescore. They sit in the same corner as bands like Ne Luumäet from Finland, Los Nikis from Spain and Expulsados from Argentina. They have four records behind them, and the formula has stayed clear throughout. Almost every song runs under two minutes, so a set from them is over before you've had time to catch your breath. The band comes from the USA and is tagged as egg punk, punk and hardcore punk.
