Dasha in Rotterdam

About Dasha

Dasha's breakout moment came with 'Austin', a country flavored track that quietly dropped in November 2023 and then climbed all the way to No. 18 on the Billboard Hot 100 by mid 2024. It went top ten in Belgium, Ireland, the Netherlands, Norway, and the UK too, which is a pretty remarkable run for a song that started as a genre pivot. She signed with Warner Records the same month the song came out, which tells you the industry took notice fast. Before the country detour, she was putting out pop leaning work, including her debut album Dirty Blonde in 2023 and the earlier EP $hiny Things from 2021. Her second album, What Happens Now?, followed in early 2024, and she took 'Austin' to the CMT Music Awards stage in Austin, Texas that April. Kacey Musgraves and Taylor Swift are among the names she counts as influences, and that blend of country sensibility with pop instincts comes through clearly in what she makes.
