About
De Niemanders built their reputation around giving marginalised people a literal stage. Before their show Café Habibi, they recorded an album together with inmates in Dutch prisons. Their follow up project brought asylum seekers into the band as singers and musicians, several of whom live or have lived in asylum seeker centres. The result is a 12 piece ensemble that moves through Arabic floor fillers, opera, soul, gospel and alternative rock, often within the same set. Crowds at festivals like Down The Rabbit Hole and Into The Great Wide Open, in music venues across the country, and even at the royal King's Day concert have all ended up dancing to that groove. With multiple vocalists singing in many different languages, the live show lands somewhere between a musical and a full on party, and the combination hits you somewhere between the heart and the hips.
