About
Dead Ghosts are a Vancouver garage rock band who mix soulful, stripped back songwriting with early rockabilly, punk and lo fi noise. The result is a raw, swampy sound with a psychedelic undercurrent running through it. The band started in 2007, when guitarist Drew Wilkinson and singer and guitarist Bryan Nicol teamed up with Drew's brother Mike on drums and bassist Maurizio "Moe" Chiumento, who answered an online ad. Their first single, "What to Do" backed with "God Only Knows", came out in 2008 on Milk n' Herpes Records. A self titled debut album followed in 2010 on Dying Records, alongside the live set Live Tapes. Can't Get No arrived in 2013, released in the US by Burger Records. The band hinted that it might be their last, but they came back with Love and Death and All the Rest in 2015, a reverb soaked record that many see as their fullest statement. In 2020 they added keyboardist Craig Pettman and became a five piece for Automatic Changer.
