Sydney's Dean Lewis built his reputation on emotionally raw songwriting, and his breakthrough single "Waves" set the tone perfectly. Released in 2016, it's been certified seven times platinum in Australia and picked up placements on a string of American TV shows including Grey's Anatomy, Suits, and Riverdale. Two years later, "Be Alright" went even bigger, spending five consecutive weeks at number one in Australia and eventually hitting eleven times platinum there, plus multi platinum status in markets across Europe and double platinum in the United States. He followed that run with three studio albums: A Place We Knew in 2019, The Hardest Love in 2022, and The Epilogue in 2024. Along the way he linked up with Martin Garrix for the 2019 collab "Used to Love", and his 2022 single "How Do I Say Goodbye" found a whole new global audience through social media, earning gold or platinum certifications in ten countries. His most recent upload, "With You", appeared in early 2025.
