Deutsche Kammerakademie Neuss am Rhein

About

The Deutsche Kammerakademie Neuss am Rhein is a German chamber orchestra with an international reputation, known for bridging classical tradition and contemporary music. The ensemble has performed Max Richter's reworking of Vivaldi's Four Seasons, a project in which familiar baroque material is transformed into something that sits between Vivaldi's world and Richter's minimalist, electronically influenced sound. That kind of repertoire suits them well: music that carries the weight of tradition but pushes into new territory. On stage the orchestra has worked alongside Isabelle van Keulen, a versatile European violinist and conductor, who leads the ensemble through Richter's layered sound world. Their programme has included Richter's Sunlight and On the Nature of Daylight alongside the Vivaldi recomposition, a set that moves fluidly between introspection and intensity.
