About The Tallis Scholars
Few groups have done more to bring Renaissance polyphony to a wide audience than the Tallis Scholars. Founded in 1973 by conductor Peter Phillips, this British vocal ensemble built its reputation on clean, precise a cappella singing, specialising in sacred music from roughly 1450 to 1600.
