Dimma

About

Dimma is a rock and metal band from Reykjavík that has quietly built up a catalogue of six studio albums, kicking off with a self titled debut in 2005. Since then they have kept a steady rhythm: Stigmata in 2008, Myrkraverk in 2012, Vélráð in 2014, Eldraunir in 2017 and Þögn in 2021. The band is these days a two man operation, built around brothers Ingó and Silli Geirdal, who founded it and play guitar and bass. Over the years the lineup has seen a rotating cast of vocalists and drummers, with Stefán Jakobsson and Hjalti Ómar Ágústsson among the former singers. Beyond the studio records, there are two live albums too, including Myrkraverk í Hörpu from 2013. Singles like "Ljósbrá", "Vélráð" and "Ég brenn" came out in 2014, so that's a good place to start digging.
