About
Dio Alive is a German tribute act founded in 2023, dedicated to the music of Ronnie James Dio across all his major chapters: his years with Rainbow and Black Sabbath, and his solo career. The band brings back songs like "Man on the Silver Mountain", "Holy Diver", "Heaven and Hell" and "Stargazer", covering a wide range from radio friendly hard rock to sprawling epics and ballads. At the centre of it all is Dutch vocalist John "Jaycee" Cuijpers, known from Praying Mantis, Ayreon and Beyond the Rainbow, whose command of Dio's style is the backbone of the whole project. Guitarist Frank Pané, a veteran of Bonfire and Sainted Sinners, brings serious credentials to the band's live sound, alongside a rhythm section and keys player drawn from bands including Purple Rising and Enemy Inside.
