DJ Seinfeld, the project of Swedish producer Armand Darius Anders Jakobsson, grew out of long studio sessions in Barcelona, heartbreak, and a lot of rewatching the classic American sitcom that gave him his name. His sound pulls from acid house and deep house, layered with distortion and audio samples lifted from films and TV, giving it a distinctly lo fi, emotional texture that set him apart when his debut recording dropped in 2016. His debut album Time Spent Away from U arrived in 2017 and built a dedicated following around that raw, bedroom producer feel. He has also recorded under the names Birds of Sweden and Rimbaudian, showing a restless creative range. His 2021 album Mirrors pushed his sound further, and he contributed a mix to the respected DJ Kicks series back in 2018.
