DJ Zany, the Dutch hardstyle DJ and producer from Veldhoven, has been a fixture in the harder side of electronic music for decades. Born Raoul van Grinsven, he cut his teeth producing techno and trance before zeroing in on hardstyle, and he has been running Fusion Records ever since. His 2002 track Be On Your Way found a surprisingly mainstream moment when professional darts player Ted Hankey adopted it as his walk on music, giving Zany a slice of sporting fame most producers never see. He was also part of the Shadowlands Terrorists crew and launched the Donkey Rollers project in 2002, which got its live debut at Defqon.1 in 2005. More recently he has been showing up at major events like Hard Bass and Tomorrowland, keeping his sets firmly in the heavy, driving territory his fans expect.
