About
Dollyverse is a tribute act dedicated entirely to Dolly Parton, one of the most enduring figures in country music. The show moves through the full sweep of Parton's catalogue, from Jolene and 9 to 5 to Islands in the Stream and I Will Always Love You. Frontwoman Pieternel has been performing Dolly songs in her own shows for years, and for Dollyverse she assembled a band of seasoned musicians who share her enthusiasm for the material. The result is a set that tries to capture not just the songs but also the humour and personality that made Parton a cultural icon.
