Don Henley is one of the founding members of the Eagles, the highest selling American band in history, where he held down drums and lead vocals on some of the most iconic rock songs ever recorded, including "Hotel California", "Desperado" and "One of These Nights". He co wrote most of the band's best known material, usually alongside Glenn Frey, and helped the Eagles sell over 150 million albums worldwide and win six Grammy Awards before their 1980 breakup and 1994 reunion. His solo career is no footnote either. Launching in 1982 with I Can't Stand Still, Henley put out five studio albums packed with radio staples like "Dirty Laundry", "The Boys of Summer" and "The End of the Innocence". His 2015 album Cass County leaned into country, americana and blues, featured duets with Dolly Parton, Mick Jagger and Merle Haggard, and hit the top of the US country charts. Away from music, he has been a driving force behind environmental causes including the Walden Woods Project.
