Donavon Frankenreiter is an American musician and surfer from Downey, California who blends soft rock and surf vibes into a sound that feels like it was born on a beach. His self titled debut came out in 2004 on Brushfire Records, and he's been building on that laid back foundation ever since. He toured Brazil in 2007 as part of the Mostra Alma Surf Festival alongside G. Love, Animal Liberation Orchestra, and Matt Costa, making the whole thing feel more like a traveling surf and music community than a traditional tour. After releasing the acoustic covers EP Recycled Recipes and the full length Pass It Around in 2008, Frankenreiter stepped away from Lost Highway Records in 2010 and launched his own imprint, Liquid Tambourine Records. His fourth studio album, Glow, produced by Mark Weinberg, followed on that label. He also has a side to his legacy that fans of classic surf games will appreciate: he's a playable character in Kelly Slater's Pro Surfer.
