Future Nostalgia might be the album that put Dua Lipa in a different league, but she had already built serious momentum before that. The London born pop artist signed with Warner Bros. in 2014 and scored her first UK number one with "New Rules" from her debut album, picking up Brit Awards for British Female Solo Artist and British Breakthrough Act along the way. Her collaborations run from Calvin Harris to Elton John, and her knack for synth pop and nu disco grooves has landed her Grammy wins for Best New Artist and Best Pop Vocal Album. Future Nostalgia (2020) was a genuine turning point, with "Levitating" topping the Billboard year end Hot 100 for 2021 and earning a Diamond certification in the US. She has since moved into acting, making her screen debut in the Barbie film and appearing in the spy thriller Argylle. Her third studio album Radical Optimism arrived in 2024, debuting at number one in the UK and preceded by singles including "Houdini" and "Training Season".
