Ducks Ltd. are a Toronto duo built around the jangly chemistry between singer and rhythm guitarist Tom McGreevy and lead guitarist Evan Lewis. They started out under the name Ducks Unlimited, releasing the EP Get Bleak in 2019 before signing to both Carpark Records and Royal Mountain Records in 2021 and reissuing the record through the labels. Their debut full length Modern Fiction arrived in October 2021, and they followed it up with Harm's Way in early 2024. That second album earned a longlisting for the Polaris Music Prize, a solid nod for a band whose sound sits squarely in the jangle pop corner of indie rock. Along the way they teamed up with Illuminati Hotties for a cover of The Jesus and Mary Chain's Head On, which says plenty about their influences.
