About

Also known as: Duncan de Moor

Duncan Laurence, born Duncan de Moor in Spijkenisse, won the Eurovision Song Contest 2019 with "Arcade", a song he wrote himself, giving the Netherlands its first Eurovision victory since 1975. The win turned out to be more than a trophy moment: "Arcade" went viral on TikTok in late 2020, climbed to number 29 on the UK Singles Chart, and eventually broke into the US Billboard Hot 100, the first Eurovision winning song to do so in 45 years. By January 2021 it had become the most streamed Eurovision song on Spotify ever. Before all that, Laurence had been quietly building his craft, reaching the semi finals of The Voice of Holland and co writing a track for K pop act TVXQ. His debut album Small Town Boy went platinum in the Netherlands within days of release. His second album Skyboy arrived in September 2023, preceded by a string of singles including a collaboration with Armenian singer Rosa Linn. More recently he shared a project titled "An Introduction: Dedication", hinting at new material on the way.
