About
Also known as: Dynamicduo, 다이나믹 듀오, 다이나믹듀오
Dynamic Duo's 2004 debut, Taxi Driver, became the best selling Korean hip hop album ever, and that's pretty much where the story of modern Korean rap pivots. Choiza and Gaeko had already cut their teeth in a trio called CB Mass, which fell apart after three albums, and they came back as a pair with something that stuck. Their second record, Double Dynamite, won Best Hip Hop Album at the 2006 Korean Music Awards, and in 2006 they founded their own label, Amoeba Culture, which they still record for. The video for "Attendance Check" took Best Music Video at the Mnet Asian Music Awards in 2007. Albums kept coming, from Enlightened and Last Days to Band of Dynamic Brothers, until military service paused things. They returned with Lucky Numbers, featuring Hyolyn of Sistar, Zion.T and Supreme Team, and Grand Carnival followed in 2015. Through the NOWorkend singles series, the label's artists, the duo included, also get to show a different side of themselves.
