About
Also known as: DŸSE
Formed in Jena, Germany in 2003, DŸSE is a two piece built around Jarii van Gohl on drums and vocals and Andrej Dietrich on guitar and vocals. What looks like a stripped down setup on paper turns into something genuinely ferocious live: precise, loud, and unpredictable all at once. Their sound pulls from noise rock, punk and stoner rock, held together by massive guitar riffs, heavy drum grooves, and lyrics that swing between wordplay, absurdist poetry, and outright chaos. Think odes to Ice T and Body Count sitting next to Dadaist humour and mashups that run from The Message to Tina Turner without blinking. Over the years they have toured more than 25 countries, played major festivals, and collaborated with bands including Heaven Shall Burn, Deichkind, and Die Ärzte. They have also shared stages with acts like Melt Banana. Around 80 percent of their shows sell out, which makes sense once you have seen the kind of mayhem they can generate as a duo.
