About
Earthside operates in a pretty unique space: a progressive metal band from New Haven, Connecticut, that has no permanent vocalist. Instead, they invite guest singers to feature on their recordings and perform live with prerecorded vocals and projected images of those artists. Their debut, A Dream in Static, leaned hard into that concept, bringing in voices like Daniel Tompkins of Tesseract and Björn Strid of Soilwork alongside the Moscow Studio Symphony Orchestra. Loudwire later named it one of the eleven best progressive metal debut albums of all time. Their long awaited second album, Let the Truth Speak, arrived in late 2023 on Music Theories Recordings and Mascot Label Group, packed with guests including members of Tesseract and Leprous and soul veteran Larry Braggs. The band hit a milestone in early 2024 when AJ Channer of Fire from the Gods joined them onstage, marking the first time Earthside had ever performed live with a vocalist physically present. They have since shared stages with Soen and Leprous, and released a new single, frozen heart burning world, in early 2025.
