About
Also known as: ElGrande Toto, Taha Fahssi, Toto, طه فحصي
ElGrandeToto, born Taha Fahssi in Casablanca, has been the most streamed artist in Morocco for five consecutive years and the most viewed Moroccan rapper on YouTube, which is a pretty staggering position for someone who only started rapping in 2016. His 2017 single "Pablo" put him on the map, but it was the debut album Caméléon in 2021 that made the wider world pay attention, landing in the top six global album debuts on Spotify at the time. His collab with CKay on the "Love Nwantiti" remix went diamond in France, making him the first Moroccan artist rapping in Darija to pull that off. His music mixes Moroccan Darija, French, Spanish and English, drawing on hip hop, trap, Afrobeat and more. The second album 27 debuted at number three on Spotify's Top Album Debut Global Chart in 2023, and a third album SALGOAT followed in 2024. Rolling Stone put his single "Mghayer" on their list of the 50 Best Arabic Pop Songs of the 21st Century, and the Billboard Arabia Awards named him Artist of the Year. He is signed to RCA Records through Sony Music France.
