Elijah Fox operates somewhere between lo fi hip hop, chillwave, and solo piano improvisation, a range that makes him genuinely hard to pin down. Based in Los Angeles, he records instrumental work that pulls from boom bap textures and downtempo moods, though his piano compositions have a life of their own. His piece "East Village" ended up sampled by Drake and 21 Savage on "Major Distribution", which hit number 3 on the Billboard Hot 100. His discography covers a lot of ground: "Twelve Chapters" and the improvisation record "Jan 14" sit alongside piano collections like "Wyoming (Piano Works)" and his 2025 release "Ambient Works for the Highways of Los Angeles". He has also done three improvised solo tours across the US and Europe, and more recently contributed to a Benny Sings track called "Real Person".
