About
Also known as: Eliza Doolittle, Eliza Sophie Caird
Under the name Eliza Doolittle, she scored a platinum debut album and a top five UK single with "Pack Up" back in 2010, then quietly became one of the more interesting collaborators in British pop, lending her vocals to Disclosure's number one debut Settle on the track "You & Me". Since rebranding to simply Eliza around 2017, she has leaned further into soul and alternative R&B territory, shedding the bubbly pop tag for something with more edge. Her 2018 album A Real Romantic and the 2022 follow up A Sky Without Stars, which includes "Straight Talker" and "Heat of the Moon", show a songwriter who keeps moving. She has also popped up in unexpected places, from a cameo as a nightclub singer in a BBC One drama to a stage invitation from Burt Bacharach.
