With over 400 Grand Ole Opry appearances to her name and not a single membership card to show for it, Elizabeth Cook has carved out one of the more genuinely distinctive paths in outlaw country and americana. The New York Times pegged her as 'a sharp and surprising country singer' and an 'idiosyncratic traditionalist', which about sums it up. Her albums have a real range to them: Balls, produced by Rodney Crowell, featured the defiant co write 'Sometimes It Takes Balls to Be a Woman', while Welder brought in guests like Dwight Yoakam and Buddy Miller. She has toured widely across the US, Europe and Asia, played the Cambridge Folk Festival, and made four appearances on the Late Show with David Letterman. Beyond recording, she hosts the midday show Elizabeth Cook's Apron Strings on Sirius XM Outlaw Country, and won the Ameripolitan Outlaw Female award in 2014.
