About
Also known as: Eight Apex, 이펙스
EPEX started out as eight apexes, literally: the name stands for "Eight Apex", and the idea is eight young guys each peaking in their own way. The C9 Entertainment group debuted in June 2021 with the EP Bipolar Pt.1: Prelude of Anxiety and its lead single "Lock Down", then built their catalogue around two storylines, an Anxiety series and a Love series. Singles like "Do 4 Me", "Anthem of Teen Spirit" and "Sunshower" came out of that run, and the sixth EP's pre orders passed 260,000 copies. Things widened from there. They teamed up with Japan's Fantastics for "Peppermint Yum", released their first full length album Youth Chapter: Youth Days in April 2024, and followed it with a second one that November. In 2025 they put out "So Nice" with the Arkansas indie rock band joan, and played Fuzhou, the first all Korean K pop group to perform in mainland China since the unofficial K pop ban began in 2016. The group is now a seven piece after Keum left in late 2025.
